Maybe it's because there are only 5 of them, instead of 50. Maybe it's because we spent a lot of time with them when they first came to help acclimatize them to our two large dogs. Maybe it's because they can hang around the house where the dogs hang. Whatever the reason, the fact is, we now appear to have 5 more 'dogs'. We started off with 5 sheep. training the trainerssubmitted by susanjillian on mon, 2006-05-08 13:34. terms: pet talk articles
When we got our puppy, Fergus, he was a first for both Daniel and myself. It's a bit unusual for people to never have had a dog until well into their adult life, but that is our situation. On a positive note, like aging parents, we take raising a dog very seriously. We didn't want a badly behaved dog that would get us in trouble or to be those people that take the dog to the pound after six months and complain that the dog is "out of control". (Six months is the most common age that puppies are dumped at the pound). These poor dogs are the victims of people who did not try to work with their dog. |
