my home town of key west just saw some tropical storm winds and waves from hurricane ike, which crossed cuba twice while running along its coast,

and is now growing bigger in the gulf of mexico:

Meanwhile, it looks like my current location in central texas will finally be seeing some precipitation as well as some wind (50-50 chance), according to the friendly folks at NOAA.

And now that I've finished my bowl of cereal and checked on the location of the hurricane, I will take my morning medication and vitamins so that my mind stays sharp and my mood stays level.
