Well Susan has encouraged me to toot my own horn, so I am now doing so. I have recently finished a book about those delightful creatures near and dear to me -- chickens. It is titled, appropriately enough, "The Little Chicken Book".

In this case, the "Little" refers to its size, a mere 5"x5", but it is chock-full of splendid studio photos of some gorgeous birds. Pete Paterson is the photographer and he and I have been working on this book for a couple of years now. In this book, we present 62 pictures of 27 different breeds of chicken, many of them quite spectacular. With each picture is a bit of breed information, as well as some chicken trivia. And of course, I have included a few tried and true recipes! At just over 3/8" thick (140 pages), the Little Chicken Book travels well and makes a great surprise gift for "people who have everything"!

We are currently in the quote stage for full offset production (we only have a few copies left from our small digital run), and hope to have copies for sale by June (retail price $22 plus applicable taxes). Note: the offset version will most likely be 6"x6" although that size has yet to be confirmed. I will post the ISBN number when it is available for purchase through Amazon.ca.
