Here's an interesting product that allows you to charge a portable device using solar power. It has three "blades", each if which contains a photovoltaic panel. Apparently it takes 8-10 hours of direct sunlight to charge the Solio's internal battery. But then you can recharge your cell phone, music player, digital camera, PDA, or whatever from that battery.

You can also charge the Solio via a wall adapter, but that sort of defeats the purpose. There's a list of compatible products on the Solio site, but I can't link to it as they use Flash and frames, specifically preventing people from accessing the pages outside the frames. Dumb.
