another day, another deal with reality

Today we opened three cereal boxes (Kashi Cinnamon Harvest ["beautifully delicious organic whole wheat biscuits, baked with cinnamon and natural sweetness"], Kashi Good Friends ["trio of flakes, twigs & granola"], and Uncle Sam ["toasted whole-wheat flakes & flaxseed"] into one big container and mixed them together with a big wooden spoon.

Next we opened the half gallon of soy milk and started pouring it into the big container of cereal. After a fairly short while, as whiles are measured, the thought occurred that this was not the single portion of cereal that was originally intended as a short term goal or task.

We were now standing in the kitchen with a very large storage container filled with delicious nutritious cereal and some soy milk. Can't put it back in the pantry now, can we?

Opened the refrigerator, found a space large enough to fit the big container into, squeezed the soy milk cartoon back in, but not before serving out a bowl and adding some more soy milk.

Back to the living room, tearing up with emotion as Rose and the Doctor save the world from destruction and the Slitheen menace.

Over on the end table, I notice a wolf spider trying to look inconspicuous and slipping into the shadows. Cool. Haven't seen one that big in ages, and definitely not in the house.
Much rather have spiders than scorpions any day.

Oh well. past seven. time to take over the world, pinky!
