Organic gardening is the deliberate act of refusing to use toxic chemicals to fertilize and protect plants from insects and disease. It is a commitment to work harder—and produce less—in the face of a world that demands the opposite.

It takes courage to refuse to use chemicals as you have to change the way you look at your landscape—remove the filters that you were given at an early age that made you think that certain plants were bad or that all insects should be killed.

This forum is about how you see your garden and what is growing in the ground. It is about how to care for it, and how to remain true to your vision for a cleaner world that benefits everyone. This forum will be a reference for anyone who needs to take that first step toward toxic free landscaping and wants to welcome birds and butterflies and dragonflies to flutter 'round the path. It is also about new ways you can honour your organic garden by decorating it with objects that sparkle, objects found and objects that might otherwise be thrown away.
