Fergus, please meet "Zigster", our 20-year old, constant companion! I am more than mildly allergic to her but… I lost the gamble when I said to my spouse, "it's either the cat or me" - she (my spouse) doesn't like making choices! No regrets, though, even when she (Zigster) walks on the piano keyboard when we're almost asleep and on my computer keyboard when I'm in the midst of something and now, in her old age, wails in the middle of the night, sounding like someone being tortured. She follows me to the garden, and down the street when I go to work and runs up the street to greet me when I come home. I used to be embarassed by that, no longer.
