Perennial Kale

I got seed for this one about 10 years ago from a friend who calls it a “perennial kale”, but I think of it and treat it as a biennial. I allow a few plants to go to seed and drop their seed in place or I scatter it in a new bed. The plants grow vigorously early to late spring and early to very late fall; in the summer they tend to get eaten up by flea beetle and slugs. Photo in early Sept. 07
