Queen of the blues mistflower

Watching a few butterflies fluttering around the front yard this morning - only to have them disappear as soon as i grab the camera and go outside - then the hummingbird is at the feeder in the back but flies off as soon as i get back there - then there's a tiny little butterfly on the window that flits off before i can get the lens cover off - but eventually i got a couple of shots through the window of this butterfly on a mistflower (this is actually a gregg's mistflower - the blue mistflowers are shorter - but the queen of the gregg's mistflowers caption wouldn't have worked as well). Only after I looked at the photo did I realize it was a queen and not a gulf fritillary in this particular shot. I thought the butterflies were mating earlier, maybe they were just fighting over territory...
