Another sighting of a winged friend in the garden on 30 March 2008 -- Difficult to see in this photo, but at first I thought this was a lizard of some sort, then perhaps a grasshopper with wings spread out...but noticed that it was two specimens touching their nether parts... and then thought that the mimicry of the triangular shape of the wings and "eyespots" near the front might resemble a snake head, or as mentioned, a lizard. You can probably see the hawk's head or sphinx resemblance, and the White Stripes are obvious.
