Very nice! Excellent composition. Love the little lizard, too. I'll bet he posed like that knowing he was part of the bigger picture...

Actually, he saw me trying to take his picture in profile and decided a heads on approach might help size up the threat. And this was the shot the auto-focus finally decided the lizard was the subject of the shot.
Yesterday I went to a class on "Pests 101" at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center which tries to give a non-toxic approach to keeping your garden looking the way humans think it should.
So this picture and the class remindrf me of the mixed feelings I had one day when I saw a Blue Jay grabbing an anole as it wriggled and futilely tried to get away. Or the time a wasp and a spider faced off and the spider got stung and paralyzed. Or more recently, when a small butterfly got caught in a spider's web. The beneficial animals don't care which animals we consider good or bad - it's all lunch to them. ...It's a jungle out there. Beats working in the private sector, though. =:-0
