Big Smile

This is Fergus just after going to the groomer. We had them do what they call a "puppy cut". Mainly we just wanted his fur short for the hot weather. But he sure is cute!

Long Leggedy Beastie

He sure has turned into a magnificent young man! It doesn't come across so well with no frame of reference, but Fergus is a tall dog! He's got the Poodle long legs and the Lab barrel chest. That makes for a very impressive, imposing dog. Combine that with his ridiculously loud bark and you have a dog that can make even the biggest person nervous.

The little black dog that no one wanted has been with us for 1 year and 3 months. She just turned 2 years old.

She is a delight in ways I can not even begin to express. She does not just wag her tail when we come home, she wiggles her entire body in an arched back rumba that you could put to music. She always has something in her mouth for us as we come through the door. It reminds us of someone bringing flowers. I've watched her at home as she will choose just the right object when she sees that Dan is about to open the door after he has been away at work or even just a short trip to the store. She is very careful not to pick up the same object she had the day before.

I took this picture just now to illustrate to a friend how Fergus sits by my desk while I work at home. He's my constant companion.

He's also rather photogenic, to say the least.

We've entered our little boy into the Old Navy Mascot Search. His entry has errors (not mine) and omissions (mine), so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
