The name "Syrinx" has special significance for us. First, it's a piece of music by our favourite composer, Claude Debussy. That music reminds us very much of a bird's song, bringing us to the second significant meaning: a syrinx is a bird's equivalent to our larynx. Birds are very important to Susan and I. We have five small parrots (not wild-caught), and we feed and water a large number of wild birds in our back yard. read more | 1942 reads
