ten things we have done to help the environment

Over the past several years, Susan and I have been working at becoming more environmentally responsible. It started with organic gardening, and since then we've been able to do a few more things that let us sleep a little better at night. We feel it is our responsibility to lead by example, so I've come up with a list of things we've done, or are in the process of doing:

This is an excellent native Texas groundcover. For some reason I keep calling it Woody stemodia. Freud would have had a field day with me, fer sure...

would be a really pretty flower if it wasn't a weed...wildflower that is. Always get a few of these each year. For some reason I've been calling it a horse mint, which is an entirely different looking plant

Several of these in the partial shade north side of the house. Butterflies and hummingbirds supposedly like them.
