Michael Shermer, self-styled "skeptic" and global warming naysayer, has recently flipped. He claims that it was 86 leading evangelical Christians issuing the Evangelical Climate Initiative that made him sit up and take notice. Only then did he see Al Gore deliver his "Inconvenient Truth" talk and subsequently pass his personal flipping point.

I'm very much looking forward to Shermer's upcoming "activism".

I just stumbled upon a site that specializes in providing scientific commentary on developing climatological stories, aimed at "the interested public and journalists". Al Gore has been described by The Green Guy as "a walking, talking live version of the excellent Real Climate blog run by scientists". In addition to the blog, there's a forum for "the interested public and journalists" to discuss issues covered in less depth by the site's bloggers.
