This time I'm posting from BlogDesk, another excellent — and free — offline blogging tool. Unlike Qumana, BlogDesk isn't written in Java, so it feels more responsive, not to mention much quicker starting up. BlogDesk allows one to create custom HTML templates and even to specify a CSS file to use when rendering your blog entries. This is important to those who blog from their own website where they have a specific appearance in mind; it shows you exactly what your blog entry will look like when posted to your site. qumana offline blogging toolsubmitted by daniel on wed, 2006-05-17 11:54.
I'm posting this from Qumana, a standalone blogging application. It allows you to compose blog entries offline - in an almost WYSIWYG environment - and then publish the new entry to your blog with one click. It's quite nice and it's free. From what I've read, it has features that even commercial blogging applications don't have. my first blog: avian flu rantsubmitted by lesley on thu, 2006-03-30 14:54.
It may be hard to believe...after all I've been in the computer biz since Macs were launched in '84, and have been using the internet before most of the world knew there WAS an internet...but this is my first official 'blog' entry. |
