Here's an excellent solution for overpopulation: Sentido.tv has a fascinating article that discusses efforts by Japanese physicists to create "baby" universes in a lab. Just think, we could provide people with their own universes in which to store their stuff - and themselves.

The only catch is that once the baby universe is created it automatically seals itself off from this one. Ah well, there has to be some sacrifice in the name of science, right?
