fellow reports over on this psychology blog that studies trying to replicate the message of the book "blink" - that we make better decisions if we don't think about them - have come up short in the "scientific process results are replicable and generalizable" department." tags: science universe life blink replicability just what we need: personal universessubmitted by daniel on mon, 2006-08-21 08:38.
Here's an excellent solution for overpopulation: Sentido.tv has a fascinating article that discusses efforts by Japanese physicists to create "baby" universes in a lab. Just think, we could provide people with their own universes in which to store their stuff - and themselves. The only catch is that once the baby universe is created it automatically seals itself off from this one. Ah well, there has to be some sacrifice in the name of science, right? tags: science universe physice multiverse japan |
