The Order of Canada was just awarded to 75 people selected by a committee headed by the Supreme Court Justice. On this Remembrance Day I want to say thank you to my Uncle Ron. For many reasons. I am so often shocked when I hear that people have forgotten that the British fought the Japanese in WW2 alongside the US. Why this is not talked about is a mystery to me. The events are as follows: Monday, December 8 - The United States and Britain declare war on Japan with President Roosevelt calling December 7, "a date which will live in infamy..." |
