bluebonnetsmy new desktop backgroundsubmitted by robertkamper on mon, 2008-04-21 19:30.
I was fooling around with the "artistic" effects on the photoshop LE and was sort of happy with this result so I left it as my desktop wallpaper. Easier than actually learning how to paint with watercolors. Speaking of which, when I was a yout', the public library had a large copy of Winslow Homer's paintings, and I've always been impressed with his watercolors of the Bahamas as they reflected the light in Key West as I saw it at the time. tags: wildflowers art bluebonnets watercolor desktop wallpaper memoir winslow homer gulfstream key west it's bluebonnet time in texassubmitted by robertkamper on sun, 2007-03-25 22:46.
The standard bluebonnets waited until after spring to start blooming. they are doing quite well. tags: photos flowers texas bluebonnets texas a and m bonnetssubmitted by robertkamper on sat, 2007-03-17 01:20.
The horticulturists at Texas Agricultural and Mechanical succeeded in breeding a bluebonnet that is close enough to maroon. I bought a few nursery hothouse bred pots for the yard. The real bluebonnets are looking good, but nowhere near ready to bloom yet. tags: photos flowers texas bluebonnets |
