...but today we got some rain, so maybe there will be some more blooms showing up. The asters are much more impressive when the whole bush is in bloom...

...would be a Tahoka Daisy, I believe... On a related note, by about six feet distance, at 6 pm or so my significant other saw a fox in the backyard drinking from the bird watering station (no word on where the birds were at the time). Mmm... that's two foxes, I quipped with a twinkle in my eye and a sly foxy grin upon my face. She ignored my dry humor and went on to water the plants. I proceeded to feed the deer.

not only do we have asters, the temperature has dropped following a cold front - currently 15 degrees C, with a low of 9 expected this evening. But we're expected to be up to 24C later this week, which is normal for this time of year.
Another sign of fall is the big buck hanging around in the greenbelt with the does. Tried to get a photo of him but the distance was too far for the flash and too filamentous without the flash.
