During this time of year it is a Sicilian tradition to make these fig filled cookies and have them about the kitchen in case any one drops by. My Nana used to make them and send them out to the family every year after thanksgiving. In recent years I had been carrying on the family tradition, but was busy with other things to deal with this year and never got around to cooking any cookies.

Below is my recipe, which I modified for various reasons - so don't use it for profit without getting my permission - but you are welcome to try it out.
