just a quote from Greg Palast who sent me this email:

News Flash from the Asylum

Today is the 50th anniversary of the publication of Allen Ginsberg's poem "Howl".

You know:

"I see the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness."

Just before his death, and into my third or fourth midlife crisis, I decided to become a writer. Couldn't decide between poetry and investigative journalism. Ginsberg read my poetry. He suggested journalism. And then he said, "You know, Greg, I'm an investigative reporter, too."

Just picked up on this over at WFMU's Beware The Blog. Loituma is the group - Leva's Polka is the tune - a highly infectious melody that will chase your blues away. It's got a nice melody, good beat, unintelligible lyrics, and you can dance to it, Mr Clark. I give it a 95.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you snort milk out your nose!

Really well done mashup of 10 Commandments movie trailer video with typical teen move trailer audio and music. Found the link on Boing-Boing. Does have one instance of assigning procreative function to cognitive task. Not for easily offended fans of religion-themed cinema.

Esto Corazon is the name of the song (This heart) over on YouTube.com.

Very romantic production with fireworks and mariachis, and at the end . . . well, it's highly romantic and a hoot besides.
